John McCartney, CPA has over 25 years of work experience in the field of taxation. John is currently the VP, Head of Tax at Uphold Inc. Their previous roles include Vice President of WW Tax Reporting at Viacom, Tax Director at Warner Music Group, Assistant Director of Tax Reporting at Interpublic Group of Companies, and Tax Manager at PwC. John started their career as a Senior Associate at Arthur Andersen & Co. and also worked as a Staff Accountant at Prayer and Fenton. Throughout their career, John has been responsible for various tax-related tasks, including financial reporting, compliance, tax provision, and managing tax implications of transactions. John has also focused on automating tax functions and processes.
