Chuan Ren

Chuan (Kelvin) Ren is the Co-Founder and Head of Engineering at Palona AI, with responsibilities beginning in April 2024. In addition to this role, Chuan serves as a Venture Capital Scout at UpHonest Capital since March 2022. Previously, Chuan worked at Google from August 2018 to April 2024 as a Senior Software Engineer, where the primary focus was on leading the Firebase Auth team and developing key security features for the Google Cloud Identity Platform. Chuan's experience also includes a role as Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn from August 2016 to August 2018, leading the development of the iOS SDK and establishing cross-team collaboration. As Co-Founder and CTO of Beijing LYRobotix Co., Ltd. from 2014 to 2015, Chuan directed an engineering team in creating a computer vision-based navigation system. An early career role includes an internship at Microsoft in 2012, where Chuan improved Excel's print dialog for Mac. Chuan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Tongji University.
