Shaquela Ford

Shaquela Ford has extensive experience in the education sector, primarily with Uplift Education since July 2013, where currently serves as Director. In this role, Shaquela establishes and enhances school culture, develops strategic visions that align with network priorities, and oversees behavior management systems and classroom management routines. Previous roles at Uplift include PYP Dean, where responsibilities included coordinating the IB program, training staff, and developing academic programs. Shaquela also has experience as an Intervention Specialist, providing instruction to at-risk students and mentoring new teachers. Other positions include MIT Coach at DeSoto Independent School District and Fifth Grade Teacher at Uplift Education. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree as a Master Reading Teacher and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
