Kahryn Riley

Kahryn Riley is a seasoned professional in policy and regulatory innovation with a strong focus on sustainable energy solutions. Currently serving as the Head of Policy & Regulatory Innovation at Uplight since March 2024, Kahryn designs markets aimed at enhancing demand-side capacity for a greener electric grid. As a coach since May 2018, Kahryn helps clients overcome personal barriers and achieve their goals. Previously, Kahryn held the position of Senior Manager of Energy Policy & Regulatory Affairs at Generac Power Systems, where efforts were directed toward creating energy-saving markets for smart thermostat users. At Consumers Energy, responsibilities included promoting customer engagement with electric vehicles and demand-side solutions. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Criminal Justice Policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, where research and advocacy advanced significant reforms in Michigan's criminal justice system. Kahryn Riley holds a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in American Government and Politics and Spanish from Hillsdale College.
