Jari Hirvonen

Category Director, Specials Sourcing at UPM Raflatac

Jari Hirvonen has over 18 years of work experience, primarily in the procurement and sourcing field. Jari spent the majority of their career at UPM Raflatac, starting in 2003 as a system analyst in procurement and later transitioning to various managerial roles. As a Development Manager, they were responsible for overseeing the development of new products and processes. Jari then moved on to become a Sourcing Manager, where they focused on sourcing raw materials for special projects in Europe. Most recently, Jari held the position of Category Director, overseeing the sourcing of special materials. Prior to joining UPM Raflatac, they worked as a Production Planner at UPM Raflatac Oy for a brief period.

Jari Hirvonen began their education in 1995 at Tampere University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Industrial engineering and management. Jari successfully completed their studies and obtained a M.Sc. (Eng.) in 2002. In addition, from September 1999 to May 2000, Jari participated in the Erasmus program and studied at the University of Galway. During this time, their focus was on e-commerce, economics, and industrial engineering.
