Kaylee Smith

Kaylee Smith is an experienced Environmental Health Safety Coordinator at UPM Raflatac since March 2022, with a strong background in environmental sciences and geospatial analysis. Prior experience includes roles as an Environmental Geospatial Sciences Research Assistant at Lowcountry Hazards Lab, where skills in GIS and statistical analysis were utilized to develop community vulnerability maps. Kaylee has also contributed to floodplain management initiatives at Charleston County Government and maintained a student garden as a Sustainable Agriculture Graduate Assistant. Additional leadership roles such as Vice President of the BC Greens Club and Secretary of the Student Government Association reflect a commitment to environmental advocacy and community engagement. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Brevard College.
