Inka Vilpola

Inka Vilpola has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career as a Software Developer at TAPIO Technologies OY in 1997, where they focused on software system specification and implementation. They then moved on to Tampere University of Technology in 2001, working as a Researcher until 2008. At Wärtsilä Oyj, they served as an Enterprise Architect from 2008 to 2011. They continued their career at Wärtsilä, taking on roles such as Manager and General Manager in the IM Technology Office. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as the Director of the Technology Office, focusing on enterprise architecture, ICT technologies, and digitalization. In 2017, they joined ANDRITZ as the Head of Enterprise Architecture. In 2020, they became the Head of Enterprise Architecture and Governance at Fortum. Currently, Inka Vilpola is the Vice President of IT Strategy Governance and Assurance at UPM - The Biofore Company, a role they assumed in 2024.

Inka Vilpola completed their education from 2003 to 2008 at Tampere University of Technology, where they obtained a degree in Dr. Tech. with a field of study in Usability.
