Mikko Rissanen

Mikko Rissanen has extensive work experience, primarily within UPM - The Biofore Company. Mikko joined UPM in 1998 as a Production Manager, overseeing two production lines and being responsible for label release base and packaging grades. Mikko later transitioned to the role of R&D Engineer and then R&D Manager. In 2006, they became the Production Manager for Tervasaari PM 5, a position they held until 2011. From 2012 to 2013, Mikko worked as a Development Manager at UPM's Group Head Office. Mikko then assumed the role of Global Product Manager, where they had a wide range of responsibilities, including product and service offering, product portfolio management, and coordination of product development. Subsequently, Mikko served as the Director of Business Development, Global Label & Pack, and Director of Product Portfolio Management. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Director of Business Intelligence and Business Development at UPM. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Technology at UPM - The Biofore Company. Prior to their career in UPM, Mikko was a student at Helsinki University of Technology from 1993 to 1998.

Mikko Rissanen obtained their M.Sc in Paper from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, between the years 1993 and 1999. Mikko also pursued a program called Biofore accelerator in Strategy and leadership at the University of Gothenburg, though the specific duration is not mentioned.
