Sara Nagai is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Digital Archives Coordinator and Reference Librarian at Upper Arlington Public Library since August 1999. In this role, Sara has developed the library's online digital collection, UA Archives, by collaborating with various community organizations, including the Upper Arlington Historical Society and local schools. Previous experience includes positions such as Reference Associate and Adult Program Coordinator at the same library, where Sara contributed to building the UA Archives and designing educational programs. Additionally, Sara served on the Board of Trustees for the Upper Arlington Historical Society and participated in the Technology Advisory Council for OHIONET. Earlier career roles include Research Account Director at National Research Corporation and Healthcare Research Systems, as well as owning a communications consultancy, In House Design Group. Sara holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of the Arts.
