Alicia Downs has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Alicia is currently the Director of Patient Care and Education at Integrated Diabetes Services since August 2017. Prior to this, they worked as a Nurse Care Manager at Upper Bay Counseling & Support starting from January 2015. Before that, they were a Medical Rehabilitation RN at Signature Healthcare from January 2014 to January 2015. From October 2012 to August 2014, Alicia worked as a Registered Nurse at Trinity Home Health Care. Alicia also had a role as a Registered Nurse at Calvert Manor Healthcare from July 2013 to January 2014. Alicia's earlier experience includes being an Alumni at Cecil College from 2011 to May 2013. Additionally, they briefly worked as an HR Coordinator at Tiffin Athletic Mats Inc in 2011, where they were responsible for managing the human relations department.
Alicia Downs RN, MSN, CDCES, BC-ADM has a diverse education history. Alicia earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Acting/Directing from UMBC in 2003. Following their passion for nursing, they gained a Nursing RN degree from Cecil College in 2013, specializing in RN, nutrition, and Diabetes management.
Seeking further knowledge and skills, Alicia pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Western Governors University between 2015 and 2016. Concurrently, they also pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a focus on Nursing Education, which they completed at Western Governors University in 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Alicia holds two certifications. Alicia obtained the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDCES) certification from NCBDE in May 2017. Alicia is also a Registered Nurse, certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
