Susan Lebowitz, MSCC

Susan Lebowitz has a diverse work experience in the mental health field. Susan worked as the Health Home Director at Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services, Inc. starting in 2017. Prior to that, they were a Program Manager & Community Support Specialist at the same company from 2014 to 2016, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the adult Mental Health Case Management program and provided staff training and supervision.

Before joining Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services, Inc., Susan worked at Rockford Center as a Social Worker (PRN) and Utilization Review Specialist (PRN) from 2013 to 2014. In their role as a Social Worker, they worked with adults, adolescents, and children in an acute care/inpatient psychiatric hospital, completing assessments and facilitating therapy. As a Utilization Review Specialist, they actively participated in treatment teams, presented clinical arguments to payors/insurance companies, and completed chart audits.

From 2004 to 2011, Susan held multiple roles at Rockford Center, including Director of Utilization Review and Utilization Review Specialist. In these positions, they played an active role in treatment teams, presented arguments for authorization of services, and ensured compliance with regulations.

Susan began their career at Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services in 1999 as a Psychiatric Rehab Counselor, facilitating psycho-educational groups and providing individual sessions for adults with mental illness. Susan later became a Psychotherapist, providing counseling and support services.

Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing mental health services and improving the quality of care for individuals in need.

Susan Lebowitz, MSCC completed their education in a progressive manner. Susan first pursued a BA in Behavioral Science from Wilmington University, attending from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they further expanded their knowledge by earning an MS in Community Counseling from the same institution, completing their studies from 1999 to 2002. Prior to their university education, Susan attended William Penn High School, although specific details regarding their degree or field of study are not available.
