Casey Rock has a long and varied work experience. From 2010 to 2021, Rock has worked for six different companies in various roles. From 2010 to 2014, Rock worked for The Herald Journal as a Webmaster/social media director, Writer, and Copy and Obituary Editor. During this time, Rock oversaw ten editors and seven reporters, maintained the website, edited content for SEO and branding, created and ran email newsletters, and oversaw social media accounts. Additionally, Rock developed and wrote feature articles, columns, and breaking news stories, collaborated with photographers on pictures and video, edited articles and obituaries, designed newspaper pages and infographics, and provided customer service.
From 2014 to 2018, Rock worked for Gamesauce Media as a Contributions & Studio Spotlights Editor, where Rock filtered and published contributions, worked with writers to create and edit contributions, and managed and wrote spotlights, events coverage, and other articles.
From 2018 to 2021, Rock worked for the Mobile Growth Association as an Advisor and Executive Content Director. During this time, Rock grew the event portfolio nearly 3x from four events per year to more than eight, built event content pipelines from the ground up, increasing productivity, and oversaw and led content for all MGA events.
In 2021, Rock worked for Superpeer as the Head Of Content, where Rock clarified responsibilities and streamlined tasks to increase productivity, managed partners throughout the lifecycle from recruitment to retention, and managed and advised multiple teams on outreach, member success, and product.
Also in 2021, Rock worked for Upptic as the Content Manager, where Rock doubled podcast, webinar, article, and email output, grew YouTube videos by 5x, video views by 250x, and subscribers by 10x, and grew social media posts by 40x, followers by 7x, impressions by 10x, and clicks by 8x.
Casey Rock has a diverse educational background. In 2017, they completed a course from Udemy titled "Build A Responsive Website From Scratch". In 2014, they earned a Mobile App Analytics Fundamentals Certificate from Google Analytics Academy and a Mobile & Social Media Certificate from Poynter News University. In 2007, they attended Utah State University, where they studied Communication and Media Studies.
