David Chain

David Chain has a diverse work experience in product ownership and management roles. David currently works as a Product Owner for eSimplicity since 2023. Before that, they held the position of Sr. Product Owner at Uprise Health in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the California Department of Health Care Services as a Sr. Product Owner II from 2020 to 2022. David also worked as a Sr. Product Owner at the Office of Systems Integration from 2018 to 2020, where they collaborated with Scrum teams and stakeholders, participated in daily activities, and addressed risk and legal issues. Earlier in their career, they served as a Product Manager/Senior Product Owner at Dealertrack from 2015 to 2018, managing offshore Scrum teams and overseeing the vision and roadmap of two websites. David also worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise for a significant period, starting in 1998. In this company, they served as a Scaled Agile Product Owner/Manager from 2008 to 2015, leading cross-functional teams and delivering user-centered tools on an enterprise website. David also worked as a Project/Product Manager and led various client engagements and training sessions. Additionally, they held the position of Portal Support for www.itrc.hp.com, where they managed a support team, executed product demos, and led cross-functional teams for customer support and development.

David Chain holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Digital Security from Golden Gate University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's of Arts (BA) in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Nevada, Reno, from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, David has pursued various additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications were obtained from Lynda.com and the Scrum Alliance, with most obtained in May and June of 2019.
