Jayson Valadez

Jayson Valadez has over 15 years of experience in various roles in the technology industry. Their most recent position is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Uprise Health, where they started in May 2022.

Prior to that, Valadez served as an Advisory Board Member at VSchool starting in April 2021. In this role, they supported the V School community through mentoring students, speaking at events/conferences, leading trainings and workshops, reviewing student projects, and providing feedback on technical and career preparation curriculum.

Valadez also has experience as a Chief Technology Officer at both Velosimo and the National Marine Corps Business Network. At Velosimo, they led the development and implementation of a cloud-based integration platform for government systems.

From 2018 to 2020, Valadez held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Monarx, Inc. Jayson was responsible for overseeing engineering initiatives during this time.

Valadez has also worked at Verisk, where they served as Vice President of Software Engineering and Director of Software Engineering. In these roles, they had engineering oversight, managed large teams, and was responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget.

Earlier in their career, Valadez held roles such as Director of Software Development at AccessData, Software Development Manager at Xennsoft Corp, Senior Software Engineer at EM-Assist, and Software Engineer at The Nielsen Company\\Interactive Market Systems.

Jayson Valadez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including SPC - SAFe Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2015, CSM - Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in January 2012, and CompTia Project+ from CompTIA.
