Amanda Chu

Amanda Chu is an accomplished data scientist currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at UPS since May 2018, where involvement includes pioneering projects in the Advanced Technology Group. Prior to this role, Amanda was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, working on optimizing school bus routes for the Denver Public School Systems, as well as serving in various capacities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Master’s degree in the same field, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Industrial Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Auburn University. Previous experience also includes internships at Boeing and Mississippi Power, providing a solid foundation in systems engineering and power engineering practices.
