Joao Marinho

Joao Marinho is an experienced finance professional currently serving as VP of Strategic Finance & Planning at Checkout.com since June 2016, overseeing Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, and FP&A globally. In addition, Joao is an investor and community member of Upscalers, an angel community focused on co-investing in promising startups within Europe. Prior experience includes roles at Citi from July 2011 to March 2015, where Joao worked as an Associate in Investment Banking specializing in Debt Capital Markets for Latin America and Europe. Joao began the finance career at RBS through a Graduate Programme and summer analyst positions, focusing on Global Banking and Markets. Joao holds an MSc in Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary University of London.
