Samir Shahdoost has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Samir is currently the Head of Paid Search at Upside.Digital, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at lilikoi agency where they served as a Paid Search / Paid Social Manager from September 2020 to November 2021. During this time, they oversaw the performance of the Paid Search department, provided assistance and troubleshooting for accounts, and trained junior team members. Samir also handled torso accounts and scaled Google PPC campaigns across search, display, retargeting, and YouTube ads. Samir also worked as a SEM Specialist at lilikoi agency from September 2014 to April 2017 where they created and managed search engine ads, implemented market research and competitor analysis, and optimized hundreds of different paid search and social media marketing campaigns. Additionally, they have worked as a Digital Marketing Consultant from February 2012 to August 2014, where they generated web analytics reports, provided lead generation strategy, and developed WordPress websites. Before that, Samir was the Founder & CEO of Waves Orchestra from January 2006 to August 2012 and an IT Specialist / Web Manager at Intercity Transportation from January 2004 to January 2006.
Samir Shahdoost obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Computer Science from Irvine Valley College, where they studied from 1998 to 2000. Samir later pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach, from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, Samir also obtained the AdWords Certified certification from Google in March 2015.
