Ben F.

Ben F. has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Ben has been a Bar Staff at JD Wetherspoon, a Camp Counselor at Camp Takajo, a Web Developer at Loading Deck, a Cross Campus Officer: Media and Communications at Lancaster University Students' Union, a Platform Engineer at Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE), a Senior Cloud Engineer | Platform Lead, a Cyber Security Consultant, and a Network and Infrastructure Engineer at QinetiQ, a Senior Consultant at Infinity Works, and a Senior Platform Engineer at KrakenFlex (part of the Octopus Energy Group). Ben F. has experience in Agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies, and is experienced in technologies such as Terraform and Cloudformation. Ben has also overseen communication with the 9 college JCR executive committees, the three student medias and the Students' Union, and assisted in the communication between the three aforementioned bodies and the 12,000 students at Lancaster University.

Ben F. studied Computer Science at Lancaster University from 2013 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc). Ben has also obtained several certifications, including an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2021, First Aid at Work and Mental Health: Workplace First Aider from St John Ambulance in August 2021, an AWS Certified Security – Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2021, and an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2019.
