Hamzeh Khalfa

Hamzeh Khalfa has a diverse work experience in the field of energy and engineering. Starting in 2018, they worked as a Barista at Starbucks until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a Service-Learning Specialist at Eastern Florida State College, providing math tutoring and achieving successful results for over 150 students. In 2019, they also worked as a Book Seller at Barnes and Noble, driving sales and ranking 3rd nationwide.

In 2020, Khalfa joined the Florida Institute of Technology as a Research Assistant, working on inorganic metallic synthesis and biomass torrefaction projects. Hamzeh then interned at Bloom Energy in 2021 and 2022, where they performed various characterization and testing techniques for fuel cell development.

In 2022, Khalfa worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, focusing on the design and synthesis of redox-active colloids and the development of next-generation materials for redox-flow batteries.

Most recently, Khalfa joined Upstart Power, Inc. in 2023 as a Fuel Cells/Test Engineer, where they likely continues to contribute their expertise to the field of energy technology.

Hamzeh Khalfa attended the University of Florida from 2020 to 2022, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
