Eleni Papakiristis

Eleni Papakiristis has extensive experience in engineering and information security, currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Director of Engineering at Upstart from March 2024 to September 2025. Previously, Eleni held the position of Principal Group Engineering Manager in Infrastructure Management at Microsoft from July 2020 to March 2024, where oversight included leading a global team of over 95 professionals in engineering systems management. As an Emerging Executive Program Fellow at HITEC from March 2023 to October 2023, Eleni focused on developing leadership skills for high-level corporate roles. Prior experience includes managerial roles at Amazon Web Services, overseeing network operations and availability from August 2016 to July 2020, and significant leadership positions at Hawaiian Telcom from August 2011 to August 2016, including management of Hawaii's 911 telecommunications network and customer support strategies.
