Paul Coury has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at Upstart since July 2019, where previous roles included Lead Commercial Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel, and Legal Counsel. Prior to Upstart, Coury worked as an Associate at McGuireWoods LLP from January 2016 to June 2019 and completed a Clerkship at the Chambers of Justice Max Baer of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2015. Additional experience includes a Summer Associate position at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, as well as internships at Jones, Gregg, Creehan & Gerace and The Coury Firm. Coury holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
