Mary Sweet

Mary Sweet has a diverse range of work experience. Mary started their career as a Licensed Massage Therapist, working at various spas and clinics from 2001 to 2011. In 2004, they became a Massage Therapy Instructor at Missouri College until 2005. Mary then transitioned to the legal field, working as a Law Clerk at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri from 2010 to 2012, and thereafter as a Law Clerk at DTC Advisors from 2011 to 2012. Mary later joined the Law Offices of Julie Berkowitz as an Attorney Associate from 2012 to 2014. Mary continued their legal career at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri as an Attorney at Law from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined BenchMark Rehab Partners as a Medicare compliance and safety specialist, and later became the Director of Compliance from 2017 to 2019. Mary's most recent role is as Director of Compliance at Upstream Rehabilitation, starting in 2019.

Mary Sweet earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Health Law from Saint Louis University School of Law, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Anthropology, along with Women's Studies, at Webster University between 1994 and 1998. Mary also holds additional certifications as a Certified in Healthcare Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), a Certified Application Counselor from CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), a Licensed Massage Therapist from the State of Missouri, and is a RYT 200 - Certified Yoga Instructor recognized by the Yoga Alliance.
