Rachel Thornton is a State Policy Analyst at Upstream USA since November 2022, previously serving as a Policy Associate at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from January 2020 to November 2022. Rachel also gained experience as a Health Policy Intern in the Minority Health Office of the United States Senate during the latter part of 2019, and as an SWEP Student Intern at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the summer of 2019. Additional roles include serving as a Legislative Aide and Legislative Fellow with Representative Spencer Frye from August 2018 to April 2019, an Intern at the Democratic Governors Association in late 2017, and a Legislative Intern with the League of Women Voters of Georgia during the summer of 2017. Rachel holds a degree in Health Promotion, with a minor in Global Health, from The University of Georgia.
