Michelle Strickland is a graphic designer who has over 30 years of experience in the field. Michelle started their career as a production artist at Walk Thru the Bible in 1987 and was promoted to design for two new start-up magazines, Youthwalk and LifeWalk. In 1993, they were awarded the position of graphic designer for Journey / Tapestry Magazine over another designer. During their time at Walk Thru the Bible, they successfully managed all aspects of design from concept to press and was able to effectively work with a limited budget while consistently meeting deadlines.
Some of their key achievements include redesigning the magazine in 2008 which won an ECPA Award for Best Redesign and developing a plan to save $3,000 annually on stock photography for the magazine which led to an overall savings of $7,000 for the ministry.
In October 1999, they left Walk Thru the Bible to pursue freelance work and has since been working as a graphic designer at UpSwell.
Michelle Strickland has an associate's degree in design and visual communications from The Art Institutes.
