Roee Barak has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2013, they began their career at the Israel Mobile Association, first as a Business Development Lead and later as a Business Development Manager. During this time, they focused on creating business acceleration and collaborations between Israeli mobile and New Media companies and international key players. Roee also helped companies establish their international go-to-market strategy and accelerate their business opportunities.
Roee then moved on to a legal internship at Tulchinsky Stern Marciano Cohen Levitski & Co. in 2015.
In 2016, Roee joined Crossrider Plc as a Business Development Manager, where they were responsible for sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, and M&A DD. Roee later became the Head of Crossrider Innovations, overseeing the accelerator program, scouting and recruiting strategic partners, mentors, investors, and managing the deal flow and application process.
From 2017 to 2019, Roee worked as the Head of Partnerships & Sales at Everthere, focusing on adding digital impact at events and conferences, in-event digital engagement, and lead generation.
Currently, Roee is the Co-Founder & CEO of Upword (formerly Erudite), an AI-powered summary editor for knowledge workers. Upword aims to help individuals and organizations be more productive in knowledge acquisition, management, and usage through state-of-the-art technology.
Roee Barak attended Reichman University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Business Administration (B.A) degree with a specialization in Finance, General. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in "Becoming Head of Sales: Developing Your Playbook" from LinkedIn in March 2019.
