Jason Veltz

Co-founder/ Creative Director at Urban Armor Gear

Jason Veltz has extensive experience in industrial design. Jason started their career as an industrial designer at Whirlpool Corporation in 1993. Jason then worked at Prop Art/DuPont Design Inc. as an industrial designer from 1997 to 1998. In 1998, they joined Buck Knives as an industrial designer. From 2001 to 2008, they worked at Black & Decker HHI as a senior industrial designer. Jason also had their own design company, Veltz Design, from 1996 to 2010. In 2003, they became a contract industrial designer at Hull Consulting Inc., where they worked until 2013. Currently, they are the co-founder and creative director at URBAN ARMOR GEAR, LLC, a company that designs products tailored for adventure seekers.

Jason Veltz began their educational journey at the University of Notre Dame in 1990, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design. Jason completed their studies in 1994 and then went on to join the Savannah College of Art and Design. At this institution, from 1994 to 1996, Jason earned their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree, specializing in Furniture Design. Afterward, they further enhanced their skills and knowledge by enrolling in select courses at the ArtCenter College of Design from 2003 to 2010, focusing on the field of Industrial Design.
