Abi Eveleigh is a Social Emotional Learning Specialist at The Urban Assembly, Inc. since January 2023. Previously, Abi served as a Lab Manager and Assistant Research Scientist at New York University from July 2021 to April 2023, and as a Postgraduate Research Associate at Yale University between August 2019 and September 2021. Early career roles included Service Desk Technician at Purchase Direct Ltd, Development and Volunteering Intern at Cancer Research UK, Senior Mentor at The Challenge, Playworker at Canterbury Kids Club, and Summer Camp Counselor at Crossroads MA. Abi holds a Master's degree in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology from UCL (2018-2020) and a degree in Criminology from Durham University (2013-2016).

The Urban Assembly (UA) believes that a first class public education is a basic human right and that demography should not determine a young person’s destiny. The UA is committed to ensuring the social and economic mobility of students by advancing capacity to enhance student achievement, well-being, and preparation for postsecondary opportunities in all of its 23 schools. In partnership with the NYC Department of Education and hundreds of public, private and nonprofit partners, the UA currently serves over 9,000 students in small, subject-themed public middle and high schools across New York City, including seven Career and Technical (CTE) schools and three all-girls schools.
