Michelizabeth Sainvill is an experienced SEL Specialist at The Urban Assembly, Inc., having transitioned from an internship within the same organization. Prior experience includes a role as a Caseworker and Home Visitor at the Association to Benefit Children, where a foundational background as a Teacher was developed from 2014 to 2018. Earlier positions included work with Harlem Children's Zone and involvement in Ascension Church. Michelizabeth Sainvill holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Catholic Studies from the College of the Holy Cross, complemented by a high school diploma from Cristo Rey New York High School.

The Urban Assembly (UA) believes that a first class public education is a basic human right and that demography should not determine a young person’s destiny. The UA is committed to ensuring the social and economic mobility of students by advancing capacity to enhance student achievement, well-being, and preparation for postsecondary opportunities in all of its 23 schools. In partnership with the NYC Department of Education and hundreds of public, private and nonprofit partners, the UA currently serves over 9,000 students in small, subject-themed public middle and high schools across New York City, including seven Career and Technical (CTE) schools and three all-girls schools.
