Matthew Higgins, PE has been working in the engineering industry since 2012. Matthew started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Smith Engineering, PLLC in 2012. In 2015, they moved to Syska Hennessy Group, also as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2017, they returned to Smith Engineering, PLLC as a Sr. Associate. In 2018, they joined Urban Atelier Group as a Project Manager and was later promoted to Lead Project Manager.
Matthew Higgins holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, which they obtained between 2007 and 2012. Matthew also holds a Professional Engineer (PE) certification, obtained from the NY State Office of The Professions in May 2017, as well as a LEED AP BD+C certification, obtained from the USGBC New York in April 2016 and a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) certification, obtained from the Association of Energy Engineers in March 2015. Additionally, they have an OSHA 30 certification, obtained in August 2018.
