Joey Superstein has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joey began their career in 2012 as an Intern with Lanyard Financial Corporation. In 2013, they worked as a Hockey Operations Intern in the Department of Player Development at the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club. In 2015, Joey worked as a Summer Associate at Fox Rothschild LLP. In 2019, they joined Thomas Pride International as an Associate General Counsel, where they served until August 2020. Currently, Joey is employed at Urban Communities, LLC, initially joining as an Associate General Counsel in September 2019 and later assuming the role of General Counsel in June 2022.

Joey Superstein's education history begins with their attendance at Brophy College Preparatory from 2005 to 2009. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Business at Arizona State University, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. During their time at ASU, Joey also studied International Business, Brand Marketing, and European Business Strategies at The American Business School of Paris in 2012. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they attended DePaul University College of Law and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
