Maarten Vandecruys

Maarten Vandecruys has had a varied career in the field of indoor vertical farming. In 2014, they founded and became CTO of Urban Crop Solutions, where they provided end-to-end solutions for indoor vertical farming. In 2021, they became an Entrepreneur in Residence at Vlerick Business School, and in 2022 they began working as a Mentor for biotope by VIB.

Maarten Vandecruys obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, and Sales from Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg in 2007-2010. Maarten then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Sciences from HUB-KUBrussel in 2010-2011. In 2011, they also obtained a Master's degree in International Management (Erasmus) from KEDGE Business School. Maarten Vandecruys continued their studies at HUB-KUBrussel and obtained a Master's degree in Business Management & Enterprise in 2011-2013. Lastly, they obtained a Master's degree in General Management from Vlerick Business School in 2013-2014.
