Jim Chapman has over 10 years of experience managing large scale research projects, database development and analysis, and use of geographic information systems (GIS). He has extensively worked with processing and analyzing parcel-based land use, road networks, physical activity datasets, and other urban form layers in a GIS spatial and relational database environment. He has contributed to sampling and analysis plans, survey development, including household travel surveys, residential preference surveys, subjective and objective physical activity data collection (using participant-worn accelerometer and global positioning system units). Jim has a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and currently lives in Rochester, New York.
