Catherine Betances is an experienced professional currently serving as the Associate Director at the Urban Design Forum since October 2022. Previously, Catherine held the position of Program Manager at the Design Trust for Public Space from September 2021 to October 2022 and was an Equitable Public Space Fellow. Catherine's background includes serving as the Education & Outreach Manager for the Take Control Initiative, where responsibilities involved planning and managing educational programs and building partnerships. As a Contraception Education and Curriculum Coordinator at KIPP OKC, Catherine contributed to curriculum design and student achievement in mathematics. Additionally, experience as a High School Math Teacher at Lawton High School involved developing curriculum and aiding student success. Other roles have included internships and event coordination with organizations promoting community engagement and education. Catherine obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering from Smith College in 2013.
