Leighton Whyte is a seasoned professional in architecture and project management, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager and Architect at the Urban Development Corporation since July 2010, where contributions include the development of the first Ocho Rios Town Management Plan. As the Principal Architect at Leighton Whyte Architect, Leighton Whyte is a registered architect under Jamaica's Architect's Registration Act, holding registration #193. In addition, Leighton Whyte critiques third-year architecture students at the University of Technology Jamaica. Previous experience includes serving as a Project Architect at Marvin D. Goodman & Associates, managing building design and renovation projects, and as a Junior Construction Supervisor at Islandwide Construction Limited. It is a group of companies with subsidiaries that include the St. Ann Development Company, Caymanas Development Company, Runaway Bay Water Company and the Ocho Rios Commercial Centre. Attractions managed include Dunn's River Falls, Laughing Waters/Pearly Beach, Green Grotto Caves, Walter Fletcher Beach, Reach Falls, Long Bay Beach, Turtle River Park and Ocho Rios Bay Beach.
