During Bill’s career at PennDOT District 1-0, he gained experience in all of the departments at the agency. He rapidly progressed from civil engineer-1 through leadership in the design, construction, and maintenance units, culminating in his role as the district executive.
Now a vice president and office manager for Urban’s Erie location, Bill is merging his depth of knowledge to a firm that has been engrained into the northwest section of Pennsylvania for more than four decades. “I am excited to join the Urban team, bringing more than 35 years of experience with many similar clients and customers to the firm,” he said.
Bill is a graduate of Clarkson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He continued his education while working for PennDOT to achieve a Master of Business Administration from Gannon University. During his tenure with the department, Bill was awarded the Secretary's Award for Excellence, which is the organization’s highest employee honor. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and New York, and has served on the board of directors for the Franklin Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers, as well as the Erie Port Authority. He is a longtime resident of Erie, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
