Johanna Medina has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Johanna began their career as a Home Care Environmentalist, conducting home visits and assessing the home environment for asthma triggers. Johanna then worked as an INTERN/RESIDENCY PROGRAM, RESPIRATORY CARE UNIT (RCU) STUDENT NURSE at The Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens, where they provided direct patient care and collaborated with the healthcare team. Johanna also worked as an Assistant Director/Tutor at CUNY/COPE PROGRAM, where they helped students with their needs and tutored ESL students. Johanna later joined the Seasonal Influenza Vaccination in NYC Schools project as a Team Leader/Vaccinator, responsible for managing vaccine supplies and serving as a contact point. Johanna then worked as a Home Care Nurse at Xincom Home Health Care Services, providing health care services to geriatric patients. Johanna'smost recent role was at Urban Health Plan, Inc., where they started as a Registered Nurse, performing various clinical tasks and patient education. Johanna then became an Assistant to the Director of Nursing, ensuring standardization of nursing practice and collaborating on updating protocols and job descriptions. Johanna Medina has a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from CUNY School of Professional Studies, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from LaGuardia Community College, from 2005 to 2009.
