Paul Vliem is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and community development. Currently serving as the Marketing and Development Director at Urban Homeworks since July 2021, Paul previously held roles such as Donor Engagement Officer at Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative and Development Manager at Tasks Unlimited. Paul’s career in the nonprofit sector began at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits in various positions, including Development and Project Manager. Additional experience includes consulting roles at OneVillage Partners and Excelsior Bay Group, as well as community organizing with Bread for the World. Paul also has a military background as a Staff Sergeant with the 110th Wing, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, where leadership and training were key responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Public and Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Calvin University.
