Kate Villarreal

Kate Villarreal is the Senior Director of Strategic Communications at Urban Institute, overseeing efforts to elevate criminal justice research publications and Center expertise. With previous experience at the United States Trade Representative and Cibolo Nature Center, Kate has a background in promoting policy agendas, managing public affairs, and advancing environmental conservation. Kate holds an M.A. in Political Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a B.A. in History and Spanish from Macalester College.
