Zach Neumann

Zach Neumann is a highly experienced leader in community economic defense, co-founding and serving as Co-CEO of the Community Economic Defense Project since March 2020. Neumann's work includes serving as a Nonresident Fellow at the Urban Institute since 2021 and previously co-founding and directing the COVID-19 Eviction Defense Project from 2020 to 2022. An academic background includes lecturing at the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs from 2016 to 2022. Additional roles encompass being a Senior Program Manager at The Aspen Institute (2019-2021), Director of Business Partnerships at CareerWise Colorado (2015-2016), Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company (2012-2016), and positions at the World Bank and the office of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Neumann holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
