James Milam

James Milam, CFA, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Carl M. Freeman Companies since September 2021. Additionally, James Milam is a member of the Commercial and Retail Development Council (Silver Flight) at the Urban Land Institute. From June 2016 to August 2021, James Milam held the position of Senior Vice President – Regional Finance and Portfolio Manager at Federal Realty Investment Trust, overseeing a diverse real estate portfolio across multiple states. Previous roles include Vice President – Finance and CFO of the Mixed-Use Division at ICSC, and Portfolio Analyst at APG Asset Management. James Milam began a career in finance following a tenure as a professional golfer and is an alumnus of Princeton University and New York University, with degrees in Politics and Real Estate, respectively.
