Yasemin Kologlu

Committee Member - Policy Think Tank at Urban Land Institute

Yasemin Kologlu is a prominent figure in the field of architecture with extensive experience in sustainability initiatives. As the Co-Chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment, Kologlu leads efforts to promote sustainability within the building industry. Active in several organizations, Kologlu serves on the AIA Honors Committee and as a founding board member of MEP2040, advocating for net-zero carbon goals. Additionally, Kologlu is a committee member of the Urban Land Institute's Policy Think Tank and serves as an Elected External Examiner for Technological University Dublin, while also being an Advisory Council member at the Building Energy Exchange. Kologlu has contributed to the Carbon Leadership Forum as a Steering Committee member and held various positions at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, including Principal. Kologlu holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a postgraduate certificate in Professional Practice from London Metropolitan University.
