Dr. Jeeban Jyoti Mohanty

Dr. Jeeban Jyoti Mohanty serves as the Team Lead for the Technical Support Unit (TSU) at the Urban Management Centre, focusing on the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs since July 2019. Previously, Dr. Mohanty worked as a Consultant at SIDBI from November 2016 to July 2019, managing the Technical Assistance component supported by KfW, Germany, and significantly contributing to initiatives like the National Microfinance Congress and the Digital Financial Literacy Programme. Prior consultancy roles include a position at EY as a State Mission Manager for Financial Inclusion and Micro-enterprise, enhancing financial access in Odisha, and a managerial role at Invest India Micro Pensions Services, where efforts centered on implementing the NABARD Rural Micro Pension Programme. Dr. Mohanty began the career as a Project Executive at DHAN Foundation, overseeing tribal community projects and facilitating the formation of self-help group federations in Odisha. Dr. Mohanty holds a PhD in Economics from Ravenshaw University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Management from Tata Dhan Academy.
