Matthew Kirby

Matthew Kirby, CFA has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry, finance, and technology consulting. Matthew started their career at Accenture as an Analyst, where they supported Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in business strategy change and technology implementations. Matthew then joined Merit Energy Company as Manager of Oil, Gas & NGL Marketing and strategically managed all aspects of commodity marketing and midstream optimization. In this role, they also initiated a company-wide strategy change related to marketing efforts and served as the primary liaison to the market, expanding the company's presence. Currently, they hold the position of President & Chief Operating Officer at Urban Oil and Gas Group, where they are responsible for overseeing operations and finances.

Matthew Kirby, CFA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Southern Methodist University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2003. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance/Accounting from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business. Later, from 2009 to 2013, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Accounting at The University of Dallas.
