Hisham El Mawan

Hisham El Mawan is currently the Manager of Business & Legal Affairs at Urban One, Inc., a position held since October 2021. Prior to this role, Hisham served as an Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce from December 2019 to September 2021 and worked as a Law Clerk at Urban One, Inc. between May 2018 and April 2019. Earlier experiences include legal internships at the Copyright Alliance and the Recording Industry Association of America, as well as a research assistant position at The George Washington University Law School. Hisham El Mawan earned a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2019 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Virginia Tech, awarded in 2015.
