Vivien L. Salmon

Dr. Vivien L. Salmon has more than two decades of experience in healthcare and has led a wide range of engagements as an executive leader at Health and Hospital, New York City. Her experience extends across acute care and mental health facilities that are publicly recognized as level I and level II trauma center with over 90,000 annual visits. Under her leadership, she has led a combination of modernization projects to improve patient care, patient experience, and revenue cycle initiatives to improve financial outcomes at Health and Hospital – Harlem. In March 2020, Vivien earned her Ph. D., from Walden University, and transitioned to Health and Hospitals-Bellevue to work closely with the emergency department to ensure operational standards, patient, and staff safety are met.

Vivien had previously served in various roles at Woodhull Medical Center Emergency Department, a Level II trauma center, with over 120,000 annual visits in Brooklyn, New York, and at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, California.

Vivien earned a Ph.D. from Walden University – College of Health Services, Master of Science in Healthcare Administration, and Bachelor of Arts in Communication both from Iona College, New Rochelle, New York.
