Paul Thornton

Chief Technology Officer at Urban Sharing

Paul Thornton has worked in various positions since 1986. Paul began their career as an Instrument Mechanic at British Nuclear Fuels Ltd, followed by a role as a Network Specialist at ICL. In 1999, they were a Network Specialist at Consafe Infotech AS, where they designed Chello Norway's small business VPN solution, Telenor's SMS over ISDN solution, and implemented some parts of SMS over GPRS for Ericsson. In 2002, they were a Software Engineer specialising in Network applications at Cybercom (merged with Consafe Infotech). Paul also held the role of IT Director at UNiK Oslo from 2007 to 2016. During this time, they were also the Owner and Co-Founder of Easy-IP, Robot, Nighthawk Diner, and ShareBike. In 2016, they became the Chief Technology Officer and Systems Architect at Urban Sharing.

Paul Thornton attended the University of Central Lancashire from 1992 to 1995, where they received a BSc (hons) in Software Engineering. Their field of study was Software Engineering.
