Urban Systems Lab
Ahmed Mustafa serves as the Assistant Director of Geospatial Research at Urban Systems Lab since July 2019, following a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Liège from January 2014 to June 2019. With extensive experience in the field of geospatial research, Ahmed has focused on the impact of climate change on flood risks in urban areas, supported by an ARC grant from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium. Prior experience includes a visiting scholar role at Purdue University, working on urban layout design to mitigate flooding and positions as a GIS Technical Engineer and Application Engineer. Ahmed holds a PhD in Engineering and Technology Sciences from the University of Liège, along with a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Lund University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Al-Azhar University.
