Urban Systems Lab
Valérie Lechêne currently serves as the Assistant Director at Urban Systems Lab since 2024 and has held the role of Systems Change Leader at The Architecture Lobby since 2019. Previous experience includes Advancement Director at Earthshot Labs from 2021 to 2022 and Consultant at Val Oak between 2017 and 2021. Valérie was a Resident at Columbia GSAPP Incubator at the New Museum from 2017 to 2019 and worked as a Research Delegate at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation from 2013 to 2019. Co-Founder of A-Frame from 2014 to 2018, Valérie also completed brief roles as a Summer Associate at the Office for Political Innovation and a Winter Associate at The Living in 2015. Valérie began a career in architecture as an Architectural Designer at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group from 2012 to 2013. Valérie holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and has undertaken MBA-level classes at Columbia Business School, alongside a Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Arts from McGill University.
