Benjamin Maltz is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in urban planning, design, and project management. Currently serving as Chief of Staff and Project Administrator at Urban Umbrella since June 2021, Maltz has also held key positions as Board Member and Lead Graphic Designer at The Third Rail since September 2017, and as Table Chairperson and Head Inspector at the Board of Elections in the City of New York since November 2016. Previously, Maltz contributed as a Research Assistant at Columbia University, where responsibilities included building digital spatial assets for the Mapping Historical NYC Project utilizing GIS technology. Other roles included Enumerator at the U.S. Census Bureau and Co-Founder and Chief Graphic Designer at MyMetrocard. Maltz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban History from Columbia University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation.
