Yessica Mendez

Yessica Mendez is an administrative assistant to the director of teaching and learning and the coordinator of equity and inclusion at Urbandale Schools. Yessica has previously worked as a financial assistant at Columbia University Department of Psychiatry and New York State Psychiatric Institute from September 2019 to June 2021. There, they assisted the procurement manager, finance manager, project manager, and senior director of budget on monthly and end-of-fiscal year audits. Yessica also prepared requisitions, purchase orders, processed employees' and students' reimbursements, and placed orders with P-Card for various departments. In addition, they reviewed and submitted invoices for payments, maintained purchasing documents and records, and performed other related duties as assigned.

Yessica Mendez is a civil engineer who graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. Yessica has a certification from New York in Driver License, and a certification from NATIONWIDE MORTGAGE LICENSING SYSTEM in Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.

Yessica Mendez reports to Dr. Crista Carlile, Director of Teaching & Learning. Yessica Mendez works with Shawna Shanahan - Coordinator of Special Education, Dr. Keri Schlueter - Coordinator of Student Services, and Ryan Williamson - Coordinator of Equity & Inclussion.
